Overcome Fitness founder Byron Slavin has helped hundreds of people like you achieve their fitness goals. From working with professional athletes to coaching clients brand new to fitness, and almost everyone in between. Byron has over fifteen years of experience helping clients achieve their fitness goals, improve their mindset, and successfully lose weight. Byron is passionate about helping others become the healthiest, strongest, and happiest version of themselves.
Sports and fitness have always played a huge role in Byron’s life. He is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College, where he was a NCAA Division l athlete. Byron holds a degree in Health and Physical education, along with numerous personal training certifications. Today, Byron is an avid runner, hiker, and weightlifting enthusiast. He has run more than ten marathons, several 50k’s, and a 50 miler, and loves to incorporate strength training and weightlifting in his daily workouts.

Byron's fitness journey took an unexpected turn in April of 2017 when he was told that he needed lifesaving open heart surgery, which was performed at Stanford Hospital. His journey back to health inspired the local community. He went from not being able to sit up on his own to running the Boston Marathon nine months post-surgery. That same strong will and determination is what he uses to motivate and inspire his clients. His positive mindset and unwavering fortitude pushed him past the finish line, which many doctors thought would be impossible soon after surgery. He firmly believes that sometimes we’re tested not to show our weakness, but to discover our strengths.

Tina is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC), currently expanding her expertise with a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) certification.

 

With over 22 years of weightlifting experience, Tina specializes in body recomposition, hypertrophy, and strength training. Her coaching style is rooted in both science and grit — helping clients break through plateaus, silence self-doubt, and surpass their personal bests.

 

Driven, passionate, and results-focused, Tina believes every client has untapped potential — and she’s here to unlock it.

Brandi Farrel

Certified Fitness Trainer

Founder, Co-Owner, and Lead Instructor at Overcome Power Cycle

Brandi Farrel is the founder, co-owner, and lead instructor at Overcome Power Cycle, where she inspires others to push past limits, build confidence, and become the best version of themselves. Brandi’s personal journey is a testament to resilience and transformation. In 2019, she embraced a life of sobriety, which became the catalyst for losing 60 pounds and discovering a passion for fitness and nutrition.

Cycling quickly became her outlet for confidence and empowerment, and in 2023, she began sharing that energy as a certified instructor, guiding riders to dig deeper, break barriers, and unlock their inner strength. Beyond the bike, Brandi is an accomplished runner—she qualified for the Boston Marathon at her first marathon with a 3:16 finish and will be Boston-bound in April 2026!

Her favorite mantras—“stay in your fight” and “you vs you”—capture her approach to life and fitness: embrace challenges with no excuses, celebrate progress, and always strive to become stronger, more confident, and unstoppable.
